About the Client
Mathru Holidays is a travel agency based in Tamil Nadu, focused on curating tour packages to Kerala one of South India’s most popular travel destinations, known for its backwaters, hill stations, and beaches. Kerala draws travelers from across Tamil Nadu and beyond year-round, which means there is a large, recurring pool of potential customers, but also no shortage of other agencies and tour operators competing for the same travelers.
Mathru Holidays came to us as a completely new business with no online presence at all no website traffic to speak of, no social media following, and no history of running ads. They had a well-priced, well-structured 5 Days / 4 Nights Kerala package ready to sell, but no system in place to get it in front of travelers actively planning a trip. We were brought on specifically to build that system from the ground up.
The Problem
Launching the very first campaign for a brand-new travel business comes with a specific set of challenges that had to be solved before any real results could show up. There was no existing ad account activity, no pixel data, and no past learnings to build on, which meant every targeting and creative decision had to be right from day one rather than refined from months of history. Travel is also a considered purchase people don’t book a multi-day trip on impulse, so the ad had to build enough trust and desire in a few seconds to make someone stop scrolling and take action.
The client didn’t want broad, unfocused reach either. They could only realistically serve travelers from 4 specific cities, so targeting precision mattered far more than raw impressions every rupee spent on someone outside that catchment area was a rupee wasted. And with a modest total budget, the campaign had to prove it could deliver real, form verified enquiries from day one, not vanity metrics like likes or video views that don’t turn into bookings.
What We Wanted to Do
Going into this campaign, the goal was to get travelers who were genuinely interested in a Kerala trip specifically in the 4 cities Mathru Holidays could serve to submit an enquiry, rather than just scroll past another ad. That meant being disciplined about targeting from the very first day, rather than casting a wide net and hoping the right people showed up in it.
We also wanted to keep the cost per lead as efficient as possible so that the limited budget stretched as far as it could, and to build the campaign in a way that gave us a clear read on what was working within the first 30 days creative, targeting, and offer so future budget could be spent with confidence instead of guesswork. Above all, the objective was to give Mathru Holidays its first real, repeatable pipeline of enquiries, something they had never had before.
What Dizispark Did
Step 1 Built the Campaign From Zero, Targeted to 4 Cities
With no prior data to work from, we set up the Meta Ads account and campaign structure from scratch, and layered in precise geo-targeting across the 4 cities Mathru Holidays could actually serve so every rupee of spend was reaching someone in a realistic position to book, not a broad, generic travel audience.
Step 2 Kept the Campaign Single and Focused
Instead of splitting the budget across multiple offers or audiences, we ran one tightly structured campaign one campaign, one ad set, one ad around the Kerala 5 Days / 4 Nights package. This kept the budget concentrated and made the results easy to read clearly within the first month.
Step 3 Produced a Premium, Destination-Led Video Ad
The ad creative was a 14-second vertical video built around Kerala’s backwaters and greenery, designed to stop the scroll in the first few seconds and clearly present the package — 5 Days, 4 Nights along with a direct link to mathruholidays.com.
Step 4 Used Meta’s Native Lead Form to Cut Friction
Every ad used Meta’s built-in Lead Form format, so an interested traveler could submit their details in a few taps without leaving the app or waiting for a slow landing page to load removing a common drop-off point for a brand new business with no established trust yet.
Step 5 Tracked the Funnel Daily and Benchmarked Every Number
We monitored impressions, click-through rate, cost per click, and cost per lead daily, and benchmarked performance against similar ad sets in the category throughout the 30-day run. This close, hands-on tracking is what kept the cost per lead at ₹36.32 — 9.3% below the category median for a campaign with zero historical data to optimize from.
The Results
Here is what the campaign delivered in its first 30 days
| 42Leads Generated (Form)Real, form verified enquiries for the Kerala package | ₹36.32Avg. Cost Per Lead9.3% lower than similar ad sets in the category |
| 7,128Total ImpressionsEstimated from total spend ÷ CPM | 105Total Link ClicksEstimated from total spend ÷ CPC |
| 40%Click-to-Lead ConversionOut of every 10 clicks, about 4 became a lead | 1.19FrequencyAd mostly reached fresh, unique viewers, not repeats |
Together, these numbers tell a clear story: for a total spend of just ₹1,525.42, the campaign reached an estimated 7,128 impressions across Facebook and Instagram, generated around 105 link clicks, and converted roughly 40% of those clicks into a submitted enquiry. That click-to-lead rate is a strong signal of real intent — these weren’t curiosity clicks, they were travelers who clicked because they were genuinely considering a Kerala trip, and the low-friction Lead Form format made it easy for them to follow through.
What makes this result even stronger is that it came from a brand’s very first campaign, with no past data, no existing audience, and no brand recognition to lean on and it still landed 9.3% below the category’s median cost per lead

Key Numbers
Across the full campaign, 42 travelers submitted a Lead Form enquiry specifically about the Kerala 5 Days / 4 Nights package, which reflects genuine, high intent interest given the low friction, native ad format used. The total money spent to achieve this came to just ₹1,525.42, at an average cost of ₹36.32 per lead 9.3% more efficient than similar ad sets running in the same category. Working backward from spend, CPM, and CPC, the campaign reached an estimated 7,128 impressions and around 105 link clicks, converting roughly 40% of those clicks into a submitted lead. The video creative itself was played 6,895 times, with a 23% hook rate and a 17.59% hold rate, and throughout the campaign, targeting stayed tightly restricted to the 4 cities Mathru Holidays could realistically serve.
Conclusion
Before this campaign, Mathru Holidays had no online presence at all no ads, no lead pipeline, and no way to reach travelers actively planning a Kerala trip at the exact moment they were deciding where to book. That changed within the first 30 days of the ads going live.
With a total spend of just ₹1,525.42, the campaign brought in 42 travelers who submitted a direct enquiry for the Kerala package, each one arriving at an average cost of just ₹36.32 a figure that beat the category benchmark despite this being the business’s very first campaign with zero historical data to build on.
Every one of those 42 leads is a real traveler who was interested enough in a Kerala trip to fill out a form and share their details. Mathru Holidays can now follow up with each of them directly, walk them through the package and available dates, and convert genuine interest into confirmed bookings. This is exactly the kind of outcome a focused, well-targeted first campaign can deliver, even for a brand starting from absolute zero.
Dizispark made this happen for a travel agency working across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, and the same approach can be applied for any travel, tour, or hospitality business looking to build a real online lead pipeline. The right offer, shown to the right audience, tracked closely from day one, is what produces the right result.
